Newborn • Maternity • Family Photography in Edmonton & St. Albert
Where are you located, and what areas do you serve?
My studio is located in St. Albert, Alberta, and I serve families from Edmonton, St. Albert, and surrounding areas. Outdoor sessions take place at thoughtfully chosen locations around the Edmonton area, and studio sessions are held in my St. Albert space.
When should I book my photography session?
I recommend booking as early as possible, especially for newborn and maternity sessions. I take a limited number of sessions each month to ensure flexibility, care, and a calm experience for every family. Booking ahead helps secure your place during this fleeting season.
Do you offer newborn, maternity, and family photography?
Yes. I specialize in newborn, maternity, and family photography, with a focus on connection, emotion, and timeless imagery. Many families choose to book maternity and newborn sessions together to document their story seamlessly.
NEWBORN PHOTOGRAPHY FAQ
When should I book a newborn photographer in Edmonton?
Newborn sessions are best booked during pregnancy. I reserve space based on your due date and schedule the session once your baby arrives, typically within the first 7–21 days. This allows for flexibility while ensuring availability.
What if my baby is fussy during the session?
This is completely normal. Newborn sessions are baby-led and unhurried, with plenty of time for feeding, soothing, and cuddling. I follow your baby’s cues and never rush. Some of the most meaningful images come from these quiet pauses.
How long does a newborn photography session take?
Most newborn sessions last 2–3 hours. This relaxed timeframe allows for comfort, safety, and a calm environment for both baby and parents.
Is newborn photography safe?
Yes. Your baby’s safety and comfort are always the priority. All posing is gentle and natural, and nothing is forced. I move slowly and intentionally, creating a peaceful space for your newborn.
MATERNITY PHOTOGRAPHY FAQ
When is the best time for maternity photos?
Maternity sessions are best scheduled between 28–34 weeks, when your belly is beautifully rounded and you’re still comfortable enough to move and enjoy the experience.
I don’t feel confident in front of the camera — is that okay?
Absolutely. Most women feel this way. You don’t need to know how to pose or perform. I guide you gently throughout the session so you feel supported, comfortable, and seen.
Do you provide outfits for maternity sessions?
Yes. I offer a curated client closet for maternity, newborns, and children. The pieces are chosen to photograph beautifully and feel timeless, removing stress around what to wear.
Where do maternity sessions take place?
Maternity sessions can take place in my St. Albert studio or outdoors during golden hour in Edmonton and surrounding areas. We’ll choose a setting that reflects the mood you want for your images.
FAMILY PHOTOGRAPHY FAQ
What ages are best for family photos?
There is no perfect age. Every season of family life carries its own beauty. Family sessions are about connection, not perfection — whether your children are toddlers, teens, or somewhere in between.
My kids won’t sit still — will that be a problem?
Not at all. Children are encouraged to move, explore, and be themselves. I create space for natural interaction rather than rigid posing. The goal is honest connection, not forced smiles.
What should we wear for family photos?
I provide gentle styling guidance and access to my client closet for women and children. Neutral tones, soft textures, and simple layers photograph beautifully and keep the focus on connection.
Where do family photography sessions take place?
Family sessions are available outdoors during golden hour in Edmonton and St. Albert, or in-studio for a more intimate, minimal look. Together, we’ll choose a location that fits your family’s story.
